Care Tip of the Month

Ideal for car care and a good idea for the home

“A colleague recently informed me that she uses her husbands car care products in the household. Is that possible, and if so, what can I use?” enquires Michael S. from Vienna.

Although actually developed for use in and around the car, many car care products have indeed proved their worth in the home. And why not? Just as in the car, in the home there are also glass, metal and leather surfaces which require cleaning and protection.

To take one example, no household should be without a multi functional oil, such as SONAX MoS 2 Oil. It can be deployed just about everywhere, for creaking balcony or window hinges or for jammed and rusted bolts. It can also remove tar stains and sticky labels.

The SONAX Chrome and Alu Paste also has a wide area of application, especially in the kitchen. It can also be used for maintaining copper, brass, chrome and aluminium. And the paste even performs admirably against the burned in dirt on glass-ceramic hobs.

The problem of white garden furniture, which gets darker with time, is best solved with a paintwork polish, such as SONAX Xtreme Polish & Wax Nano Pro. Its highly effective polishing components break down into nano sized particles during the polishing procedure, not only removing the dirt, but also freshening up the colours. And the product’s high quality wax protects the furniture against renewed soiling. In future, you will only have to wash the furniture – and it will look like new again. In principle, all polishes and waxes are suitable for obtaining shining surfaces in the household. And for especially stubborn grime, bird droppings or scuff marks on parquet and tiles, for example, to reach for the SONAX Dirt Eraser is recommended.

And if you want to remove rust stains from tiles, concrete or kitchen work surfaces, then you can go to work with an acid free product such as SONAX Xtreme Rim Cleaner. Simply spray on and rinse off again with water. And even if it sounds a little odd: It also works on rust stains on clothes.
